UKTV: Dave and Gold channels return to Virgin Media

10 Channels including the ever popular Gold, Dave, Yesterday and Dave ja vu have been restored on Virgin Media. Their original channel numbers have been restored and the replacement channels have been allocated new numbers.

Additional information: Virgin Media and BBC. The Virgin Media TV channel list has been updated accordingly.

Sky Data Update

Showcase->CLTV (192), Sky Living->Sky Witness, Sky Hits->Sky DC Heroes, Sky Tom Cruise->Sky Greats, Sky Family->Sky Animation. Retro Movies removed. Vintage TV temporarily removed. Showcase+1 renamed to Showcase and moved to 455. 6 BBC Red Button channels removed.

UKTV: Dave and Gold among channels dropped by Virgin Media

10 Channels including the ever popular Gold, Dave, Yesterday and Dave ja vu have been cancelled on Virgin Media.

Virgin says UKTV charges "inflated" fees, and complains that its joint owner, the BBC, does not allow all channels to be shown on demand.

UKTV says it cannot accept the "drastic" price cut Virgin proposes.

Virgin have replaced the affected channels with others including Paramount and added a new music channel Now 80s.

Data Update

Sky updates: There are now 6 BBC Red Button channels and BBC Red Button HD (980). This is possibly for multiple sporting events at the same time (e.g. Wimbledon). Tom Cruise Channels added.

Paramount channel launched on Sky (159) and Freeview (57). Can be manually tuned on Freesat. No announcement on Virgin Media.

BBC Red Button correction. This channel wasn't listed before for Freeview, Freesat and Virgin because it could be thought of as an interactive channel. Sky list it as BBC RB1 so it has been added for Freeview, Freesat and Virgin.

BBC Red Button can now be found in the search page.

Data Update

Sky have revamped their channel numbers. Our data source has all the updates e.g. +1 in range 200-299 but we do not separate them out to a +1 genre like the Sky EPG.

Talking Pictures TV is now on channel 328!
